Molin Holiday Art Club

 met for the first time this week!

This five week session is all about creating winter holiday crafts. Fourth and fifth graders will be using a lot of different materials from felt to nails and wood. These artworks will become beautiful decorations and memories for the students this winter season.

Students are creating winter trees with cardboard and felt. 

We are excited to see the finished project next week!

Art for the Holidays

This session we will be creating crafts that celebrate winter holidays.

Students will have the opportunity to use various materials to

create 2-D and 3-D crafts that will add winter ambiance to any room in your home!

5 weeks of Private Art Lessons and Spaces are Limited--

7  students will be drawn by LOTTERY on November 18th  for the Molin Holiday Art Club.

We will meet on Tuesdays this winter after school

from 2:40-3:30 pm in Art Room 171.

Last Project for our FALL ART CLUB

Create your own scratch art!

Our club created their own gobbling turkey just in time for thanksgiving with oil pastels. After that, the students covered their gorgeous pictures completely with black oil pastels. And they thought "Oh no! What have we done?"

Not to worry, during the next club session we used wooden tools to scratch off that black layer to reveal our turkeys and it created an awesome effect. Students made their scratch lines go in different directions for each part of their work (sky, grass, turkey).

Try this at home if you have your own oil pastels. 

FYI--Oil pastels are an inexpensive art supply that make great art!

Molin's Fall Art Club 

Display in the Main Office

Our club runs in five week sessions and meets once a week after school. Students are chosen through lottery in an effort to keep the club small and yet allow for as many students that are interested to participate throughout the school year. 

Students used glue as a watercolor resist and experimented with mixing analogous colors to create vibrant pumpkins to celebrate the best of what New England offers...beautiful autumn harvests!
